NISK has the potential to be a polymetallic supergiant, like Norilsk, with high-grades of Copper, Nickel, Platinum, Palladium, Cobalt, Gold and Silver.
The NISK project is Power Metallic's flagship project located near Nemaska, Quebec. It represents a significant discovery of high-grade battery metals and critical minerals in one of the safest and most supportive mining jurisdictions in the world.
The project benefits from being centrally located with critical infrastructure already setup nearby. NISK is located beside a major highway, with a nearby town and airport and is found across the road from a Hydro-Québec substation, which supplies inexpensive and low-carbon hydropower. Additionally, NISK has a shallow average mineral depth, with the presence of ultramafic tailings that enable significant carbon sequestration to offset the project's emissions. This positions NISK to be a low-risk, carbon-neutral and environmentally-friendly source of battery metals and critical minerals.
